Terms and Conditions — HEIC to JPG Converter

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms," "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Dipu Guide ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our") concerning your access to and use of the HEIC to JPG Converter mobile application ("App," "Service").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately uninstall and discontinue using the App.

2. Eligibility & License Grant

A. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 years of age within the European Economic Area / United Kingdom) to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

B. End User License (EULA)

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on personal Android devices that you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business utility purposes.

3. Description of Service & On-Device Processing

HEIC to JPG Converter is an image utility tool designed to convert .HEIC and .HEIF image files into .JPG or .PNG formats, manage image quality compression, and preserve or strip EXIF metadata.

Local Execution: All conversions are processed 100% locally on your device. The App does not upload, transmit, or store your photos on any remote server or cloud infrastructure.
Original File Preservation: The App does not overwrite or delete your original source photos unless you explicitly choose to delete them through your device's file manager or gallery. Converted files are saved as new items in your local Pictures/ConvertedImages folder.

4. User Content & Intellectual Property Rights

A. Your Photos and Content

You retain 100% full ownership, title, and intellectual property rights in and to all photos, images, and files you process using the App.

We do not claim any copyright, ownership, or license to your photos.
Because conversion happens strictly on your device, we have no access to your image files.

B. Developer Intellectual Property

The App, including but not limited to its software code, user interface designs, icons, graphics, logos, branding, and algorithms, is the exclusive intellectual property of Dipu Guide and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its underlying code.

5. Subscriptions, In-App Purchases, and Billing

The App offers a free tier (supported by advertisements and basic usage limits) as well as optional paid upgrades ("Pro" or "Premium") to unlock enhanced features (such as ad removal, unlimited batch conversion, custom quality sliders, and full EXIF retention).

A. Google Play In-App Billing

All purchases, subscriptions, and one-time unlock fees are billed and processed exclusively through Google Play In-App Billing and verified via RevenueCat. We never collect or store your payment card or banking details.

B. Subscriptions and Automatic Renewal

If you purchase a subscription (e.g., Monthly or Annual), payment will be charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
Account Charging: Your Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current subscription price.

C. Managing and Cancelling Subscriptions

You can manage or cancel your subscriptions at any time directly through your Google Play account settings:

Open the Google Play Store app on your device.
Tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
Select HEIC to JPG Converter and tap Cancel subscription.

Note: Uninstalling the App does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

D. Refunds

All refund requests are governed directly by Google Play Refund Policies. To request a refund, please follow Google Play's standard refund process: Google Play Refund Guide.

6. Advertisements & Third-Party Content

The free version of the App integrates Google AdMob to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads.

Advertisements are delivered by third-party ad networks. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for any third-party products, services, or websites advertised within the App.
Interacting with an advertisement may redirect you to an external website or app governed by third-party terms and privacy policies.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree that you will NOT:

Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based upon the App.
Circumvent, disable, or tamper with any security-related features, licensing checks, or ad-display mechanisms in the App.
Use the App for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of any local, national, or international regulations.
Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to extract data or interact with the App.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE COMPLETELY UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF BUGS, OR THAT EVERY CORRUPTED, NON-STANDARD, OR DRM-PROTECTED HEIC FILE WILL CONVERT WITHOUT ERROR.
DATA BACKUP NOTICE: WHILE THE APP IS DESIGNED TO PRESERVE YOUR ORIGINAL IMAGES UNTOUCHED, WE RECOMMEND MAINTAINING INDEPENDENT BACKUPS OF ALL CRITICAL MEDIA FILES.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

IN NO EVENT SHALL DIPU GUIDE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, DEVICE DAMAGE, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU (IF ANY) TO THE DEVELOPER FOR THE APP DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $10.00, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

10. Termination

These Terms remain effective until terminated by either you or us:

You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the App and terminating any active subscriptions.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if you breach any provision of these Terms.
Upon termination, all licenses granted to you herein shall cease immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at our sole discretion. Any changes will become effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in India.
